What Causes Bacne?
Just like the pimples on your face, there are many causes of this common skin condition.
Most often, acne occurs when the glands produce an excess of oil and dead skin cells that are not removed block the hair follicles.
However, there is a subtle difference between the acne on the face and the back. The bacne can also be caused due to inflammation even as the oil secreted by the glands get stored leading to more bacterial growth than the dead skin cells.
Another contributing factor behind back acne is ‘acne mechanica’ the friction caused due to backpacks, chairs, tight-fitting clothes, which not only rub against the backs but also clog skin pores with sweat and depositing dirt.
Sweat that is left on the skin for too long can often lead to breakouts on the back and body.
Other factors like lifestyle habits, hormones, genes, consumption of certain drugs, can also lead to bacne.
